Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended so as to provide for the Georgia Tax Court to be vested with the judicial power of the state and to have venue, judges, and jurisdiction concurrent with superior courts?
So this amendment is very direct actually. It’s moving a current “Tax Tribunal” from an executive branch reporting structure to the judicial branch. The Tribunal has been empowered since 2013 and now they want it to have the power of the courts instead of the governor.
Only 1 person in the legislature voted against is (like 12 just didn’t vote) and no one is saying why they didn’t vote FOR.
Honestly, I don’t know that I care much. If you make me choose, it does sound like it belongs in the judiciary and not the executive so….. yes?
